Our Kidneys are the crucial trigger for high blood pressure and they regulate hydration and electrolytes. They are sensitive to stress factors such as medication, diabetes, inflammation, and can promote aging.
But we do not feel kidney function loss, high blood pressure and aging of our vessels. Even routine medical checkups only detect kidney dysfunction too late (once 50% of the kidney function is already lost).
In our office we offer you professional blood pressure analysis and management, including a full kidney checkup and determination of your cardiovascular risk profile.
We can also detect early kidney problems and premature ageing of your vessels. For analysis, we use the gold standard of non-invasive aortic blood pressure measurement (Pulse wave analysis, Arteriograph) and for stratification we use international medical guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
We will help you become and stay healthy and minimize your blood pressure and kidney risks. As an internal medical specialist, I furthermore offer to assess, diagnose and treat internal medical conditions or rheumatic inflammation when present.
